Legonoblois’s LEGO story
How did you get into LEGO?
I started playing with LEGO at the age of 4 with my father, who gave me the bricks from his childhood.
Then I went through a “dark” period between the ages of 15 and 26.
I got back into LEGO about six years ago, and I build at a fairly steady pace!

What do you enjoy most about LEGO?
What I like about LEGO is that you can build anything you want, whether it’s based on reality or your imagination. But what I like best are the exhibitions, because they allow you to meet other AFOLs over a whole weekend, make friends and chat with visitors.
Describe your style or favorite themes
I can’t really decide on my favourite theme, because in recent years I’ve tried my hand at different areas: amusement parks, castles, creatures, buildings… It really depends on the period.

Where do you find inspiration?
I find inspiration in my surroundings. If I like a building, I’ll try to reproduce it, or if I see a film, I’ll try to recreate an element from it. As soon as I have an idea, I write it down and come back to it when I feel like it.
Favorite set or creation — why?
My favorite creation is my amusement park, Brickiland, which has been my main focus for the past few years. I’m constantly improving and expanding it.
My favourite set (at the moment) is Hogwarts Castle (71043), because of its many references and its size, which kept me busy for a long time!

Anything else you’d like to share?
My best advice is to do whatever you really enjoy with LEGO! Whether it’s sets, MOCs or a mixture of both!
